San Pedro House

Guiding for the SW Wings Festival’s ‘Spring Fling’, a day at San Pedro House, the San Pedro River and Kingfisher Pond. Super-nice group, 68 species. More about the festival here.

GRAY HAWKS calling along the river.
INCA and COMMON GROUND-DOVES at various places, but especially around San Pedro House. NORTHERN BEARDLESS-TYRANNULET near the house.
OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER near the river.
Three swallows over and around Kingfisher Pond, one each of NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED, BARN and BANK SWALLOWS.
A couple of BOTTERI’S SPARROWS singing along the entrance road.
Two male BLUE GROSBEAKS near the house.
Pair of BRONZED COWBIRDS by the river near the pond, the male displaying to an impressed female.
